Rebecca Fjelland Davis grew up on a farm in Iowa. Her first young adult
novel, Jake Riley: Irreparably Damaged,
was published in 2003 by HarperCollins. She received an MFA from
Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is a serious cyclist and
in addition to several nonfiction children's books (for Capstone
Publishers), she teaches English and humanities at South Central
College in North Mankato, Minnesota. When she is not teaching or
writing she enjoys
riding her bike, sitting around bonfires with her friends, and walking
her dog, a Newfoundland, Freya, in the woods.
Her second novel, AlleyCat, was released in 2011.
