Sharelle
Byars Moranville spent her early childhood in Illinois, as an only
child for several years before two younger sisters arrived. She
earned her undergraduate degree and then went on to graduate school in
New York and at Kent State (Ohio) where she earled a doctorate in
English Literature.
After teaching College English for a few years she entered the
corporate world, and later entered the world of child advocacy and
raised a daughter. Eventually she returned to writing once
again. She and her husband live in the Des Moines Iowa area where
there are many trees and she has a view of the Raccoon River Valley,
and "way more gardens than anybody really needs."

enjoys any opportunity to share her books and her love of reading and
wriitng with young readers, or others interested in the art of reading
and writing.
