Barbara
Santucci divides her time between writing, teaching, speaking at
schools, painting, and exhibiting her work. In 2002, she was honored
with the Leader in the Arts Award in Rockford, Illinois. She was chosen
as one of fifty women Illinois artists to represent Illinois in the
traveling millennium Show.
She received her undergraduate degree from Loyola University and has
studied art at Rockford College and Northern Illinois University.
She has taught elementary and preschool classes, and has worked as a
librarian.
Barbara Santucci and her husband Michael live in Rockford Illinois where she frequently works with young readers and artists.

Barbara is the author of three picture books: Loon Summer and Anna's Corn, and Abby's Chairs (Eerdman's Books for Young Readers).
